Hello, lovely people! My name is Somi. I am originally from Iran (Persian) and I started practicing yoga in my home country in 2010 as a way to become more physically active. It quickly became much more than that, however, and gave me strength, flexibility, motivation, and more balance in both my body and my life. I fell in love with yoga and practiced it regularly until I immigrated to Finland.
The immigration process was a little bit challenging and caused me to stay away from yoga for a long time. But after a while of missing it, I decided to take up yoga again and eventually became a certified yoga alliance instructor in 2020. Since then, I have been teaching yoga in two languages in Finland and then moved to the United States with my husband in 2021, where I began teaching yoga in my third language, English.
I am a certified 200-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher, as well as a certified prenatal and aerial dance instructor through Yoga Alliance. I love to push myself to my highest potential and am constantly learning and improving. I am passionate about spreading my thoughts, heart, and knowledge to those who are ready to receive it.
In my classes, I focus on Power or Vinyasa yoga styles, so my students can develop strength, flexibility, and mental clarity. You will see changes in your shape and your overall health mindset very soon. Come join me in one of my classes - I would love to have you there
