About Me
Hi, I'm Somi, a 500-hour certified Vinyasa yoga instructor originally from Iran and now living in Florida. I first stepped onto the mat in 2010 and began teaching in 2020. I love Vinyasa and Power Yoga because they make me feel strong, focused, and fully present, leaving no space for the mind to wander. Before I started yoga, my posture wasn’t great, my spine wasn’t very straight, and I was quite underweight. I didn’t really feel good about myself back then. But within just six months of practicing yoga, I could clearly see the difference — my spine became straighter and more beautiful, my breathing got deeper, and both my physical and mental state completely transformed. That’s what made me keep going and fall in love with the practice. Through Vinyasa, I've learned how to move with my breath and connect deeply with my body and inner self. That's what I love sharing with others, helping them find strength, clarity, and peace through mindful movement and breath. I also love traveling and stepping out of my comfort zone, that's why I spent more than a decade living in Finland before moving to the U.S. Every place I've lived and every person I've met has shaped me into the teacher I am today. My mission is simple: to guide people to feel at home in their own bodies, to find stillness in motion, and to remember how capable and powerful they truly are, both on and off the mat. Whether you're joining me for an in-person class or practicing with one of my digital yoga programs, I'm here to help you grow, move, and reconnect, one breath at a time.
